There's a quiet intensity and an air of mystery about her that often leaves one wondering about her long after she is no longer in their presence.

In all things, her personal style can be defines as classic, comfortable, and sexy. She has a penchant for heels, understated pieces, and unexpected, but tasteful, peeks of skin.

She has a scar in the shape of a star on her right forearm. She also has a tattoo of the moon phases on her ribs.

Her power manifested at age five, after studying a field mouse. She can change into any animal that she takes the time to study thoroughly, even choosing the coloring and size of the animals. In general, she can turn into animals that she has encountered many times very quickly, but animals that she has rarely encountered or never encountered take a lot more work on her part.

Like all powers, even this one has it's weakness. Extended periods of time (more than 24 hours) in animal form make it more difficult to transform back and it requires far more energy and can make her quite ill for days. Another downfall is that clothing cannot transform with her and is either ruined or left behind, when she becomes an animal, and she is left naked, when she transforms back to her normal form.

It was a particularly dark All Hallow's Eve, when the youngest McDowell decided to make her way into the world a whole five weeks early. She was incredibly tiny and incredibly angry in a regal sort of way that only a McDowell could accomplish. Given that they were positive this child was finally their last, they opted to name her one of her most powerful ancestors - Tierney Rhea.

Tierney's first five years were fairly normal and filled with joy. Of course, it was shortly after her fifth birthday that everything changed for her. A fascination with a tiny field mouse seemed to ignite the manifestation of her powers, causing her to change into a mouse. Of course, once she managed to change, she had no idea how to turn back. Three days of running around as a mouse, avoiding the family cat, and causing her entire family to panic occurred, before Tierney changed back into her human form under the breakfast table.

After that first time, she was shown how to practice her powers. It was a long, grueling process that lead to her spending long periods of time as one animal or another. It was hard for her to control when, where, and what she'd change into in the beginning. These difficulties, of course, lead her family to homeschool her. This home education continued long after she gained control of her powers, when she showed a penchant to rebel against everyone by turning into an animal.

As her high school years approached, the weakness in her power began to show as it drained her and made her quite ill, if she spent more than 24 hours in a form that was not her own. She was fourteen, when it finally sank in that with great power comes great responsibility and that for every pro, there is a con. With that lesson learned, she was enrolled for the first time in Salem's public-school system.

While Tierney excelled in school academically, the years that she spent homeschooling made her incredibly shy and occasionally awkward. Very few paid attention to her or even realized that she was there, because of how quiet that she was, but those that did pay attention did their best to make her life miserable.

After graduating in the top 10% of her class and earning herself a scholarship (not that she needed it) from the Salem Historical Foundation. It was no surprise that she received letter of acceptance from three Ivy League colleges or from the seven other schools all over the world that she'd applied to. What did surprise everyone was her decision to attend Harvard - it had never been a school that she'd shown much interest in.

Six years of her life were spent at Harvard, studying History and the Occult. None of her peers could quite understand her passion for the occult or for her concentration on Salem's dark history. When asked, Tierney would merely laugh and say that she was probably a descendant of someone burned at the stake or the reincarnation of that person. At the end of those six years, Tierney had earned herself a perfect grade point average with a Master's degree and an extensive knowledge of the politically correct version of Salem's history (as well as the more factual version).

Upon returning home to Salem, Tierney spent a few years working for the Salem Historical Society, until she started finding errors in their published history and the tours they sponsored. After months of talking with the head historian and trying to convince them to correct their ways, the two finally had a huge falling out that caused her to resign. Their differences of opinion were just too great - Tierney wanted to publish the truth, while the head historian wanted to continue with the approved truths.

About four months after her resignation, Tierney took a solid look at herself and decided that she didn’t want to be overlooked and ignored anymore. She took a deep breath reinvented herself and took a leap of faith by launching her own historical tour company.

In July of 2018, Spellbound Tours was conceived. Shes started with daytime tours twice a week, then worked their way up to tours all seven days a week. Eventually adding on evening tours and Midnight tours on the weekends as well as a souvenir shop in 2019.

These days Tierney can often be found in the Spellbound Tours office or out giving her own tours, if she’s not battling with the Salem Historical Society or giving guest lectures at local colleges.
